Freedom Crossing at Fort Bliss UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

DENVER - March 8, 2010 – David, Hicks & Lampert Brokerage, after being selected to Market and Lease the new Freedom Crossing at Fort Bliss anchored open air shopping center, is fully engaged in order to meet an aggressive construction schedule which will facilitate a public Grand Opening October 2010.

Developed by ServiceStar Development (Denver, CO) in conjunction with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), Freedom Crossing at Fort Bliss is the first open air of its type to be opened on a military Post.  Centrally located, both within the community and on-Post, this will serve as the heart of this military neighborhood providing a shopping and entertainment venue with the latest in popular retail offerings by many national and regional retailers, the most modern multi-screen Grand Theatre and trendy restaurants. Freedom Crossing will also serve as convenient backdrop for many scheduled outdoor promotional events by virtue of its upscale architectural persona completed by its wide streets and outdoor meeting areas. The shopping center is anchored by an expanded Post Exchange (217,420 sf) and Commissary (114,000 sf), which, based off of current sales, are expected to generate in the excess of $192 Million dollars in annual sales.

Fort Bliss is experiencing unprecedented growth. The Post population is on track to grow by nearly 70% over the next four years. This is due to a national military realignment and congressional approval of four new Brigades to be added to the present Post population. The federal government has already broken ground on over $5 Billion dollars in fully funded construction projects at Fort Bliss in preparation for the population increase. Two of the new Brigades have already opened with the remaining four Brigades to open through 2012. The result of the new personnel is an increase from the current 88,000 customers to a massive 127,000 customers.
