Village Center Station Welcomes New Tenants- Freshii and Tokyo Joe’s

(For Immediate Release)

Phase 1 of the 27,000 square foot retail portion of Village Center Station is off to a great start with Freshii, a Toronto-based quick serve restaurant that offers fresh and healthy meals, opening last month. Tokyo Joes recently signed a lease and will be open by the end of the year. DHLB is actively marketing the remaining available retail spaces and is in LOI and lease negotiations with a number of note-worthy tenants. The retail portion of the project has received great interest due to the success of the office lease-up, proximity to the highly dense office park surrounding this project, and the high-traffic light rail stop that has been dubbed a regional hub and transfer location. The retail space will also benefit from the Fiddler’s Green amphitheatre and the events that the City of Greenwood Village will have planned throughout the year in the adjacent Village Center fountain park. Phase I, which was completed last summer, is a 9 story 232,000 square foot Class A mixed-use tower. Office space totals 205,000 square feet with plaza level retail totaling 27,000 square feet. The main office tenants include Shea Properties, Cricket, Holland & Hart and Regis University.

The project offers unprecedented access, visibility and prominence at the most vibrant stop on the new southeast leg of Denver’s light rail. The project has certified for LEED Gold by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). This three phase project, when complete, will consist of three first-class office towers totaling up to 1 million rentable square feet, including approximately 50,000 square feet of prime retail space. The project features a spectacular pedestrian plaza being developed in partnership with the City of Greenwood Village and the Regional Transportation District (RTD). The plaza will be a gathering place for civic and cultural events including art fairs, summer concerts, winter ice skating, and seasonal farmers’ markets. This project also boasts invaluable signage opportunities along I-25 (Denver’s major highway) exposing both the office and retail tenants to nearly 180,000 cars per day. Village Center Station will be the trophy mixed-use development in southeast Denver. Please call Ken Himel at 303-694-6082 for more information.
