(For Immediate Release)

June 29, 2009- Whole Foods Market opened a new flagship store at The Streets at Southglenn in Centennial, Colorado on June 15, 2009. The 52,000 square foot store is Whole Foods’ first newly constructed store in the Rocky Mountain region in three years. Other recently signed tenants include Mellow Mushroom, Bouquets, Kismet, Aspen Gold Kitchens and Design, 720 Boardshop and Sous le Lit, most of whom are scheduled to open with the center’s Grand Opening this August.

The Streets at SouthGlenn is a mixed-use redevelopment of the former Southglenn Mall. The project will include approximately 900,000 square feet of retail, 202 high end residential units and 140,000 square feet of office space. The power center component opened in September 2008 and consists of Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Staples and Macy’s Furniture Gallery. Some anchors include Macy’s, Sears, a flagship Whole Foods, a flagship Barnes & Noble, Hollywood Theatres and a 24 Hour Fitness. In addition, the Centennial Public Library will relocate their 8,000 SF location at Dry Creek Road to the Streets at Southglenn into an 18,703 square foot state of the art facility.
