Welcomes Whole Foods Market as its Newest Retailer to Open

June 29, 2009- Whole Foods Market opened a new flagship store at
The Streets at Southglenn in Centennial, Colorado on June 15, 2009.
The 52,000 square foot store is Whole Foods’ first newly constructed
store in the Rocky Mountain region in three years. Other recently
signed tenants include Mellow Mushroom, Bouquets, Kismet, Aspen Gold
Kitchens and Design, 720 Boardshop and Sous le Lit, most of whom are
scheduled to open with the center’s Grand Opening this August.
The Streets
at SouthGlenn is a mixed-use redevelopment of the former Southglenn
Mall. Located adjacent to the affluent suburbs of Cherry Hills
Village, Greenwood Village and Highlands Ranch to the south, the
Streets at Southglenn will become Denver’s premier destination for
shopping, entertainment and dining.
The project will include approximately 900,000 square feet of
retail, 202 high end residential units and 140,000 square feet of
office space. The power center component opened in September 2008
and consists of Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Staples and Macy’s
Furniture Gallery. Some anchors include Macy’s, Sears, a flagship
Whole Foods, a flagship Barnes & Noble, Hollywood Theatres and a 24
Hour Fitness. In addition, the Centennial Public Library will
relocate their 8,000 SF location at Dry Creek Road to the Streets at
Southglenn into an 18,703 square foot state of the art facility.
