Two Colorado Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Firms Announce Merger David/Hicks Brokerage and Lampert Properties Team Up; Expansion Ahead

DENVER-March 15, 2007—David/Hicks Brokerage, Inc. and Lampert Properties, Inc. announced today they are joining forces; creating one of Colorado's largest retail real estate brokerage firms. The merger between the two firms is slated for March 19th, 2007.
The new combined company, David/Hicks & Lampert Retail Brokerage, LLC, (DHL) will be headquartered in Denver and will continue to serve the goals of developers, landlords and tenants in the retail real estate business in the Rocky Mountain Region. The company's growth plans include expanding brokerage service, consulting and client database in Colorado and nationwide.
"The merger will increase our capacity for Colorado and Rocky Mountain regional expansion. At the same time our new team will continue to produce successful results for our existing clients," said Philip Hicks, a DHL Managing Partner.
The three managing partners/owners of David/Hicks & Lampert Retail Brokerage include Denver residents Philip Hicks, Joe David and Allen Lampert. Combined, they have over 60 years of experience in retail real estate and have transacted an estimated 5,000 retail leases valued at more than two billion dollars.

The partners have a 10-year history working as a team on several successful developments. Lampert Properties and David/Hicks led the leasing efforts for Southlands, Colorado's largest new shopping center, which was developed by Alberta Development Partners, LLC. The 1.7 million square foot regional retail destination in Aurora opened its third phase in October 2006. In February 2007, Alberta Development Partners was named Developer of the Year by the Colorado chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.

The Streets of SouthGlenn: Marketing the redevelopment of the former Southglenn Mall which when complete will be a 1.1 million square foot town center in Littleton, Colorado.
The Colorado River Marketplace: A 600,000 square foot mixed use, lifestyle development located in Grand Junction on 60 acres at the northeast corner of Interstate- 70 and 24 Road. The center will be anchored by a 125,000 square foot Dillard's store, the first store for Dillard's in western Colorado.
Philip Hicks and Joe David founded David/Hicks Brokerage in 1999. Philip worked as a broker for 10 years at a large firm in the Denver marketplace. Hicks has owned and operated David/Hicks Brokerage since its inception with the goal of providing services to retailers and property owners. Philip's retail real estate experience is reaching its 21st year.
Joe David's experience includes nine years as a retail specialist at CB Commercial Real Estate Group in California. Joe specializes in the marketing of new retail developments, including site plan development, tenant mix analysis and the procurement of all retail tenants.
Allen Lampert founded Lampert Properties, Inc. in 2002 to provide retail real estate brokerage, development and consulting services to retail developers, landlords and tenants throughout the Colorado and Rocky Mountain region. Previously, Allen served as Director of Real Estate for Alberta Development Partners, LLC located in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Prior to joining Alberta Development Partners, Allen was a top-level retail broker with CB Richard Ellis in four different locations— Bethesda, Maryland; Tyson's Corner, Virginia; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Denver, Colorado.
While at CB Richard Ellis' Denver office, Allen held the position of Vice President, Director of Retail Services. He was instrumental in heading up and revitalizing the retail services department.
